I got the wrong part in the mail and made do with a plastic hose “T” from a garden shop and some hose clamps (aka jubilee clips for the Brits.) Until the garden-grade plastic started melting the clips stopped holding. So, it worked for two months. Now I’m trying to find the appropriate BMW part. I can’t get anywhere with realoem.com and other sites. I’m going to visit the BMW dealer tomorrow, but I figure if we can figure out the proper part number I can just order it on-line, directly. Here are photos of how it is supposed to sit in the car and what I have pulled out. Any ideas?
I made out “1153 6903054e phx 16312" from the green ink, but that doesn’t get me anywhere.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partx… This help at all? It looks like it’s a couple of those parts

I tried that — I came up with a p/n that seemed right and got the wrong part. Most of those go between the back of the block and the heater core. This goes from the front of the block along the block and splits into a secondary radiator and then into the heater block.
This has #14, which IS the part, but it says it’s a clamp, not the actual p/n for the hose! So frustrating!

Hmm, well maybe you should look under the heating and AC part section, it’s part of the cooling system but it’s possible that the parts are considered to be part of a different subsection. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partg…
It’s my best guess, other than that I’m stumped. Plus we didn’t get a 520d in the US so support for it here is obviously nonexistent.

Tomorrow I could probably get you the exact part number.

Is this what you’re looking for?

That looks like it, but it isn’t it, because that comes off the back of the block. That, and the “T” had sealed clamps and was a single unit that came from the factory. Thanks, though!
